Re: Phaedrolosaurus ilikensis etymology

Mickey,
There is a town called Ilik in that area of far western China, so I assume that is what it is named after. Ilik is also a surname. Most likely ilikensis would roughly translate as "from the area of Ilik".
------Ken
P.S. Or perhaps it was named after a brand of beer drunk in that region, or someone was listening to a CD of music by a singer named Ilik. Or even a double meaning?, indicating "a shiny tooth that I like." These days it is really hard to know for sure. :-)

I know Phaedrolosaurus means "shining lizard", but what does the species name "ilikensis" mean? Thanks.
