Last night, after sending my "Details on Boluochia"
post, I thought of an error I made. I said-
- Avisaurus, Lectavis, Nanantius? valifanovi, Soroavisaurus and
Yungavolucris have a dorsal tubercle on metatarsal II lacking in Boluochia
and Vorona.
Boluochia's metatarsus is figured
in posterior/ventral view, so I can not determine the presence of such a
tubercle, nor is the region described. In any case, its presence is
primitive for birds, being seen in Confuciusornis and Velociraptor as
well. The conclusions of my post do not change. I am sorry for the
misinformation.
