While this is a little bit non-paleontological, I think it's only fair to the
folks who prepared this new restoration to correct a misimpression here.

The video is windowboxed so that the entire frame is visible. Some television
sets have serious "overscan" and will cut off even windowboxed images. The only
solution for that is to buy a studio monitor that doesn't overscan too badly.
One "letterboxes" only widescreen movies, and this is not a widescreen movie: 
the
frame is nearly square and the entire original frame is legitimately there.

The DVD has both the modern score (that is the only one on the VHS tape) and the
ORIGINAL score. Those of you whose taste runs to 1920's orchestral stuff, will
want the DVD.  There is no theremin in the modern score.
