Re: WWD Allosaurus

Might as well throw in my 2 cents here as well.

This WWD Allosaurus show was very cool in my opinion, and overall it was great how they explained where some of the information was coming from. I agree with Jamie Headden that the salt lake chase scene with Big Al and the sauropods was most excellent.

I think the show would be a great teaching tool, where you could show it to a class, have them take notes, and then ask them what they think was possible or impossible. Makes a great discussion tool for sure.

Of course, sauropods rearing up and down is not my cup of tea, at least not so far as the evidence I have seen is concerned, but hey, any show that has long clips of sauropods is okay in my book! =) The neck and tail positions were good, though, although the feet leave something to be desired (but that's just my foot predjudice!). It was great that the allos just tired out the injured diplo and let it die before eating. That would seem to be more realistic than charging a healthy mountain of flesh! =)

Overall, WWD Allosaurus was presented better than the original WWD (at least here in states; I understand in the UK they had more interviews and explanations in the original WWD).

Well, off to more sauropodous pastures,

Matt Bonnan
