Remember that odd Thai snout?
Hi everyone. How many of you remember that following quote from Darren
Naish regarding the 1998 Maastrict conference?
Dr. Buffetaut also showed a slide of some bizarre unidentified ?archosaur
snout which had slightly spatulate teeth with carinae, no serrations, and
marked wear
facets. Looked like nothing else ever seen: heterodontosaurid and aberrant
theropod were suggested as identities.
Personal communication with Eric has confirmed that this snout is in fact
non-archosaurian and probably from a tritylodont. That's one potential
dinosaur we can cross off our lists. :)
