Re: Adasaurus
I am very sorry to have mentioned Adasaurus phalanges in my previous mail.
It was a slip, actually have seen none of them. Actually I only meant the
picture of the Distal hind limb that I placed along side with that of
Rahonavis and Archaeopteryx. I was looking looking a the Dromeosaurus
tarsals + MTs and there was no sickle claw. The thick metatarsal IIs were
impressively similar in all of them.Hence I thought the superimposition of
Rahonavis and Adasaurus. The sickle claw in Megaraptor and Velociraptor are
clearly much longer. Has a claw been ever described from Dromeosaurus.
Mr.Mortimer's results regarding Archaeornithoides are of great interest. I
guess the Spinosaur connection can be considered entirely convergent? Did
your matrix include Cheirostenotes including Sues' new material? Also the
position of Avimimus is exciting what are are the apomopies that group it
with the bitds?
