Now that I mention it, carnosaurs of the family Sinraptoridae generally have 
tall, laterally flattened neural spines on their caudal dorsal vertebrae (I 
consider this a probable sinraptorid synapomorphy), and these may grade into 
true ridges in some genera (e.g., Metriacanthosaurus).
