German baby Sauropods article
A very kind gentleman living in Germany has just sent me scan images of
a 3 page article (auf Deutch) about a fairly recent find of sauropods in
Germany.
the article is clear enough to read even the italicised german text
under the numerous photos. I'm perfectly willing to send along zips of
teh very large JPGs or put them up on my website for more people to
access.
The article info that I have is:
Deutschland- Saurierland Sauropodenfunde in Niedersadusen
by Raymond Windulf
(and possibly published in something called Fossil.den (c)98)
An excerpt from the gentleman's post about the article (from
sci.bio.paleontology) which is what had caught my eye and started my
correspondence with him:
> A few months ago, people started to find more and more dinosaur
> remains in a quarry near Muenchehagen, NW4Germany. Nice
> dino-tracks were allready known from this locality. A local
> museum made a big effort to find some more remains, and indeed,
> they managed to dig what seem to be the first bones of baby
> sauropods known in Europe (i.e., as far as they know, including
> myself, I4m not a dino specialist!)
> During preparation, which is still going on, they are still
> not yet sure whether the remains could belong to a relative
> of Brachiosaurus, or other sauropods.
> The best piece discovered until now is a nearly complete skull.
