Pastor Puts Movie Monster to Work Carrying Cross

(Zillah, Washington-AP) -- Church of God pastor Gary Conner in the
Washington state town of Zillah can take a joke -- and turn it to his
advantage. 

When people started referring to his church as the "Church of
God-Zillah," he embraced the idea. 

Now there's a ten-foot steel skeleton of a T-Rex holding a cross in the
parking lot. The church puts its "Godzilla" on a trailer for community
parades. 

Conner says Godzilla helps attract young people to the church and shows
others that born-again Christians have a sense of humor.
