Perhaps the closest thing to an "arboreal" bird (depending on how
strictly you define arboreality) is the New Zealand Kokako. It is a weak
flyer, prefering to clamber up to higher branches and then glide to
lower ones. In the "Life of Birds" series, Sir Dave refers to it as the
bird equivalent of a squirrel.
