Who said arboreal animals can't spend any time on the ground at all? Even
sloths come down to defecate, after all.
There are many types of birds that spend very little, if any, time on the
ground: North American examples include chickadees, kinglets, bushtits, most
wood warblers, tyrant flycatchers, etc., etc.
