"Precisely identical" is of course absurd. But since this is the null
hypothesis, I >don't have< to justify it. Rivers are rivers, sedimentation is
sedimentation no matter the continent or the geological period. Whatever
biases were operating on one continent were most likely operating on the
other, particularly since the animals were so similar in size, anatomy, and
presumed behavior. Unless you have evidence to the contrary, of course, which
is what I asked for.
