Bird origins conference in sunny Florida

Ah, imagine. On the beach to the north of Miami, the spring Atlantic breeze
tossing one's hair, the cry of the gulls inspiring the question - are
dromaeosaurs really the closest relatives of archaeopterygiforms?

This could be YOU, IF you attend the Florida Symposium of Dinosaur-Bird
Evolution presented by the Graves Museum of Archaeology & Natural History,
Dania Beach FL, April 7 & 8. The fun includes two days of talks and
discussion panels including the likes of Phil Currie, Mark Norell, Alan
Feduccia, Larry Martin, Bob Bakker, John Ruben, Peter Wellnhofer, John
Ostrom, yours truly, and many, many more. For your listening and viewing
amusement, an exhibit featuring the brand new Bambiraptor, the latest - and
some would say controversial - National Geographic feathered archosaur
exhibit, and much, much more. But wait, that's not all. For further events,
basic information, reservations, and so forth, check out
http://www.gravesmuseum.org (if the latter is not posted yet it soon will be;
please, I beg of you, do not direct your inquries to poor moi). Bring a
friend.

See you there.
