Re: dinosaur speeds
There are certainly dinosaur trackways that indicate a speed well above human
walking speed (and above human sprinting speed, for that matter). Look into
Gregory S. Paul's out of print _Predatory Dinosaurs of the World_. You will see
figures of a couple of theropod trackways which were interpreted to be very fast
-- about 25 mph for the Glen Rose _Acrocanthosaurus_-like track and perhaps 40
mph for a small Arizona theropod! Paul doesn't provide the formulas or the
math, but you can take it from there. Check out the chapters "A quick look at
