The way I see it, caudal autotomy is a synapomorphy seen in Lepidosaurs (among
reptiles) and can be seen as convergent with caudal (and limb) autotomy seen
in salamanders.

I don't think anyone has ever done a cladogram on a function such as that, but
I wouldn't be surprised if that is what would be shown.
