Kansas Academy of Science Meeting
All,
At the risk of boring some of you, I wanted to make this announcement to
the group to insure that the information gets to as many interested
parties as possible.
The Kansas Academy of Science will conduct its 132nd Annual Meeting on
March 31 - April 1, 2000 at the Hutchinson Community College in
Hutchinson, Kansas.
For those of you unfamiliar with Kansas, HCC is located adjacent to the
Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center < http://www.cosmo.org/ >. This is
the facility where Gus Grissom's recently recovered "Liberty Bell Seven"
spacecraft is undergoing cleaning and restoration. The banquet will be
held in the Cosmosphere on Friday night and our guest speaker is from
NASA.
As a part of the KAS2000 meeting, we will be also hosting a Paleontology
Symposium,
called "Half a Billion Years of Kansas History". Early indications are
that we will have a record number of papers/posters in this area. The
Call for Papers, registration form and other information is on line at:

Abstracts are due March 1, 2000. Please contact me off list if you have
any questions.
