You don't know. In my family I have two journalists of some
prominence and one is fond of saying: "The facts don't matter
so long as it makes a good story." He works for an ABC affiliate. 
I'm afraid that attitude is all too prevalent. They will all too
often only give you the facts that support their desired conclusion.
It's not science or even unbiased investigation...it's journalism. -Rik
