Re: how to get theses

  I should add to those who have recommended UMI's Dissertation Service 
(which I have myself used frequently) a couple caveats about their service:  
(a) they focus primarily on dissertations, and don't have many theses (that 
is, they have the papers people did for Ph.D.'s, but not Masters degrees), 
and (b) they have primarily (only?) those from within the USA and, I think, 
Canada, at least for paleo stuff; you can't get, for example, a dissertation 
from South Africa (like Raath's oft-cited _Syntarsus_ dissertation).
