Names of nomenclators of dinosaurs

Hello,

I'm working on a list of dinosaur names that include the Greek elements of "sauro", "saurus", etc. (not all of the dinosaurs) for a special on-line lexicon of English derivatives from Latin and Greek elements. One of the major problems I'm having is that I have not been able to find a Web site about dinosaurs that presents the complete (first, middle, AND last names) of those who "named" the dinosaurs.

My list will include the "saurus" fossil names, what they mean, the period in which they "lived", where they were located, and who NAMED them and when.

Do you know of a site where there is more information about ALL of those who found and/or named the dinosaurs? I have several "complete" names, such as Henry Fairfield Osborn and Othneil Charles Marsh; however, there are some Web sites that only have the last names listed and no info about their first and middle names.

This can be confusing when Sternberg, for example, is listed without first names, because Charles H. Sternberg had three sons (George, Charles, and Levi) who may also have named dinosaurs. If all we see is Sternberg, then how is one to know which Sternberg did the naming?

If you know of an appropriate Web site, or recent book, that includes biographic sketches of the fossil hunters and nomenclators, I would appreciate it VERY MUCH!

Thanks,

John Robertson
