Sorry, not glib. Asteroid impact >unquestionably< caused nonavian dinosaur 
extinction. It was >primary< cause. There may have been secondary causes 
involved, there may have been more distant causes, and so forth. There are 
undoubtedly other causes of mass extinctions besides asteroid impact. There 
may be reasons why K-T impact was deadly and others were not. These are 
details that indeed require further examination, as are details of how 
asteroid impact accomplished this sweeping feat. But they are not >the< 
primary cause of dino extinction. It is time for this fact to be recognized, 
not to sit on one hand and then the other looking for obfuscations and 
denial, just as it is time for dinosaur-bird connection to be recognized by 
certain ornithologists. We have smoking gun; what more do you need? Videotape 
of event?
