Try this one on for size. :-) I was reading through Ralph Molnar's
description of _Labocania_ the other day.
Firstly, the frontal elements of this Mexican theropod are greatly
thickened, like certain abelisaurids. Secondly, Molnar was unsure of
_Labocania_'s affinities - the cranial elements resembled those of
_Chilantaisaurus_, whereas the postcranial elements showed a number
of tyrannosaurid characters.
Considering the new data that has emerged in the last 20+ years re
theropod systematics, has anyone taken a second look at this theropod?
