The February 1999 SVP News Bulletin mentions (on p. 33) that Philip
Currie "recently completed a paper with Ken Carpenter on
_Acrocanthosaurus_, and one on the new Japanese theropod with Yoichi
Azuma." My guess is that this latter theropod is the Japanese
dromaeosaur to which you refer, but I would be happy to be corrected on
this supposition, and we'll have to wait to see the published paper in
any case. The dromaeosaur's "nasty" pedal claw can be seen in Don
(sorry, Brian) Lessem's "Raptors" book.
