My choioce would be Smilodon and the other saber-toothed predators;
feline, marsupial, and what all.

I'd like to see them since there is no immediatly compatible living
hunter and yet the sabertooth mechanism was consistantly re-evolved as a
succesful predation method.

Also big cats are always popular with people.  Look at the stuff
wandering around eating sheep in the backwoods of the UK nowadays....
