I personally don't think theropods were the most adept sidesteppers (but I'm 
not the biggest theropod expert either). Would the enclosed structure and 
lateral orientation of the acetabulum have greatly limited lateral movement?

Someone wrote years ago (I think it was Rolf Johnson) about how even with a 
semi-erect forelimb, ceratopsids would be quite maneuvarable.
