Xinhua 13-JUN-99

HEFEI (June 14) XINHUA - Twelve fossilized dinosaur eggs dating back
some 65 million years ago were recently discovered in east China's Anhui
Province.

The gray-colored fossils that weigh approximately one kilogram each and
are the same size as American footballs, were discovered by workers
building a road from the city of Xuanzhou City to Jingxian County.

Archeologists note the find will be extremely important for geological,
climatic and environmental research of the areas some 60 million years
ago.
