That is certainly a hypothesis. I have seen it in print in three
seperate locations. Of course, there is NO evidence for it since we know
next to nothing about the Yixian Formation's sedimentation rates at
Sihetun and thus don't know if this "flock" of birds was a mass kill
event or an aggredational assemblage. This, of course, doesn't stop
people pontificating about it though...
