Re: RFI on book and "Skippy"

Concerning Lora's question:

I have both editions, and found them usually well-done, with mostly good
information. (Not perfect, and certainly no longer as up-to-date as they
once were). The listing of museums and parks is pretty good in the second
edition, but was obsolete as soon as the book was published.

The information does not go much beyond the average person's ability to
understand, and it can serve as a good basic reference book. [Note: I
really mean BASIC]. I've used the illustrations and charts for a basic
class for adults (about dinosaurs, of course). It covers a lot of areas,
but Cladistics is not heavily seen in either edition, and obviously, they
have nothing in them about feathered (or "proto-feathered" or "dino-fuzzed")
dinosaurs.

    Hope my opinion helps,
