Diggin` Dinosaurs
I was just curious as to how much excavating is being done in Triassic
strata. For me, the nagging question is in the exact origins of the various
dinosaur forms, and to resolve this question, more hard fossil evidence from
this time period is needed.
It seems that China, (perhaps because of the available manpower), is
putting a lot of effort into their latest Early Cretaceous (late
Jurassic???) finds. It also seems that a lot of effort went into digging up
the Jurrassic and Cretaceous specimens during Cope and Marsh`s time. If this
kind of effort were to be put into working Triassic strata, perhaps many
"missing links" could be found.
So,...what is being looked into as far as the Triassic is concerned?? How
about in Petrified Forest Natl Park (or thereabouts)??
