Great! Thanks for correction! Met him once and had an argument with him over 
the term "Marsh pick." A French-Canadian paleontologist had told me it was 
called that because in French the item is called a "pic du marche" or 
something like that, for "marching pick," and he demonstrated this by 
sticking it into the ground and using it as a handhold while clmabering up a 
steep slope. Macdonald, however, maintained that it was named after O. C. 
Marsh, who supposedly invented it. Never did resolve this question, by the 
way.
