Hello All,
For some time, we have been investigating the
possiblity of founding a History of Vertebrate Paleontology workgroup. The main
reason for this is to bring about some degree of co-ordination of efforts in
this field, and to set up some broader research projects. Also, although many
people are active in VP History research, few do so full-time, and it would be
worthwile to make an inventory of interested parties. A first step might be to
organise an informal get-together around SVP. Therefore, I invite all those that
work on or are interested in VP history to send me their names, and, if
possible, a list of publications and areas of interest. We may then organise
something in october to give the workgroup a more regular
character.
