"Dinosaurs in the Dust"

Newsweek has a very interesting article in its July 12 issue, entitled
"Dinosaurs in the Dust," by Thomas Hayden (pp. 44-45) about the
titanosaur egg site at Auca Mahuevo in Patagonia. The article is
quite detailed in describing the team's work and finds, which are
evidently spectacular.

Team member Frankie Jackson has found "pathological eggs" with
a double shell. Quoting from the article:
"That happens when the mothers are under stress and the eggs
are retained longer than usual inside the reproductive tract. Perhaps
the nesting ground was overcrowded; congestion often causes
double shells in crocodile eggs."
