Denver in October-SVP

I've decided to go to this year's SVP in Denver.  I know it's way early
to ask if anyone else is going fer sure.

I wanna have a Dinosaur Mailing list coffee klaasche (or beer-guzzling
or high-tea or what-have-you) and meet people in person and schmooze. 
Does anyone know of a good Denver locale for this with SVP in mind? 
(that is, people will probably stay at the Adam Mark hotel and not have
cars).

Does anyone have any recommendations on books or papers on Denver
locality dinosaurs and other paleo fauna? The closest book I got is on
dinosaur fauna of New Mexico/aka Ghost Ranch stuff.
