Correction! In copying the text of my last message
from another format to email, I accidently chopped off part of a line
that changes the meaning completely. The comment
on the Hengst paper should have read (upcase correction):
(The authors conclude that Apatosaurus could have
done just fine in our modern air IF IT DID NOT HAVE
TOO ACTIVE A LIFESTYLE.)
Sorry for the goof. Not all researchers might agree
that dinosaurs needed extra oxygen to function at
their peaks. The authors assume that oxygen levels
were about 30 percent during the Late Jurassic
compared to 21 percent present atmospheric level.
