Palaeophysiology Symposium announcement

SYMPOSIUM ON PALAEOPHYSIOLOGY
As part of the Fifth International Congress of Comparative Physiology
and Biochemistry, the host committee will be convening a special one
day symposium on palaeophysiology. This symposium of invited speakers
will pair some of the world's leading palaeontologists and
physiologists to compare and contrast their perspectives on some of
the more interesting issues in palaeophysiology. The symposium will
end with a round table discussion involving all of the participants,
and encouraging audience interaction.
Topics to be discussed include:
1. Bone histology & inferences about palaeophysiology
2. Cardiovascular physiology
3. Feathered dinosaurs: implications for physiology and palaeoecology
4. Phylogeny and physiology: reconstruction of soft tissues and
physiology for fossil taxa
5. Palaeophysiology: future directions and challenges
