My mom just forwarded this to me as a heads up
(about a Bay Area Scottish Deerhound owner she knows)

I think you know that a fellow Bay Area dh owner is a paleontologist (or
a geologist, I'm not sure which) and spends a lot of time in Antarctica
doing research. Anyway, I got this message tonight about some of what
he's found there.--Mom

Subject: My work in Antarctica on TV
Dear science colleagues,
The Learning Channel (TLC), which is part of the
Discovery Channel but programed on a separate channel is
airing the footage shot by Wall-to-Wall TV about our
finding the hadrosaur dinosaur in Antarctica. I am not
in the footage, but my colleagues Dr. Sergio Marenssi (my
co-chief scientist on these expeditions, he is a
geologist from the Argentine Antarctic Institute) and Dr.
Jim Martin (part of my team and our reptile expert from
the South Dakota School of Mines) actually talk on
camera.
There is extensive footage of area we work in on the
Antarctic Peninsula including Vega Island.
The footage is in an episode, "The Land That Time
Forgot" on the series "When the Dinosaurs Ruled". So if
you get this program you too can see this historic event
of the discovery of the hadrosaur dinosaur from Vega
Island as it actually happened, as done for T.V..
It will be shown on TLC this Sunday (August 29th) at 3 pm
in the afternoon.
Cheers,
Judd
