New Cretaceous bird

Genus: _Holbotia_ Species: _H. ponomarenkoi_

It's not actually new; I think it was named by Kurochkin in 1991. Kurochkin thought it was a pterosaur, but it's recently been moved to the Aves. (Don't have the ref, but apparently it's been published.)

The single specimen comes from Holbotu in Mongolia, at the same formation (Unduruhinskaya Formation) that yielded _Ambiortus dementjevi_. That puts it at Lower Cretaceous (Barremian-Aptian). It could represent a second specimen of _Ambiortus_.

That's all I could glean from a general paleo text I picked up in the library (forgot the title!) a few weeks back. I haven't been able to find out anything else since. Maybe somebody on the list knows about this one.
