Not at all clear that southernmost Maastrichtian NA tyrannosaurids belong to 
the genus Tyrannosaurus. For that matter, not yet clear that all the 
Lance/Hell Creek/Scollard large tyrannosaurids belong to the species 
Tyrannosaurus rex or even to the genus Tyrannosaurus, since there are not yet 
any published detailed comparisons of other specimens against T. rex holotype 
specimen. Lots of rumors buzzing around, of course. Note also that 
practically all mounted T. rex specimens are composites that may be chimeras 
of more than one species/genus, which doesn't make life easier.
