RE:Reference and RTMP

Ok first of the Psittacosaur references

Sereno and Shichin
JVP 8(4): 353-365 Dec 1998
Psittacosaurus xinjangensis(Ornithishia:Ceratopsia), a new Psittacosaur from
the Lower Cretaceous of NorthWestern China.

Sereno, Schichin, Zhengwu, and Chenggang
JVP 8(4): 366-377 Dec 1998
Psittacosaurus meileyingensis (Ornithishia:Ceratopsia), a new Psittacosaur
from the Lower Cretaceous of NorthEastern China.

"doesn't mention the premax teeth. Is there a published
reference for the toothed taxon that I missed?"

I just skimmed through the tooth sections in the papers, gives a good
description. And as I read through part of it, their has been no premax
teeth, if I remember correctly.

Secondly...

Sauroapteryx...(spelling)

Anyways when I was at the Royal Tyrell Museum the 14th, the day before
"China's Feathered Dinosaurs" was taken down, they had 2 of those their. In
the pamphlet it pictured 2 as well, it didnt give any mention to how many
that were found.
It was a good display. Showed how everything went together with the
cladogram. Had two life reconstuctions of the feathered dinos. Information
on each of the different, specimens. Also Kevin ??? was in the room
preparing on another specimen. It was a good display. They have the program
pamphlets for about $3.00 Canadian, so with the exchange rate...oh....
$0.30 American. :?)

Ok anyways... the rest of the displays in the museum were good... but
several of the displays were incorrect. (Phil Currie isnt happy with it
either pers. comm; meet him earlier that week before I went to the RTMP).
Some of the casted material is out of place, I noticed it on the
ceratopsians that were out, limbones were on wrong and backwards, also one
had the pubis sticking out on the wrong side of the ribs. Other then that.
It was a GREAT trip and Museum(changed alot since I was their about 10 years
ago). I am planning on going back up this winter and visiting with some of
the other people that work their as well.
Outside they have 2 adult Pachyrhinosaurs w/baby.... and a juvenille
Albertosaur chasing Orinthomimids.
Oh yes speaking of that they have 2 good Orinthomimids in display that are
still in situ...very complete. A juvy albertosaur in situ as well thats on
display. Also, on the theropods, the had a section(display just for them)
Black Beauty, Sinraptor, Allosaurus, Carnosaurus(spelling)ugly thing.
Well... anyways. Its worth seeing.
