Early in the dinosaur list existence, it was configured to send the
reply to the whole list.  After some embarrassing personal replies
appeared on the list, it was decided to change the reply feature
so that hitting the reply button sent the message back to the
sender, making the writer think before he sent his post to the
list in general.  Other reply-to-the-lists such as Vrtpaleo and 
Paleonet have sent a number of entertaining posts to all subscribers, 
followed immediately by sheepish apologies from the writers.
