I think Caple et al. argue otherwise and say that controlling direction 
is hard for bipedal arboreal animals.

Exactly.  Bat wrists are different from bird wrists, but they provide a 
similiar movement.  Thanks.

Thanks.  Sorry, but I won't be able to get to the Snowbird SVP this 
year.  Maybe I'll make it next year wherever it is going to be.
