My post was based on personal observation of several ceratopsian mounts,
some of which I know from long association. In addition, I refered to
Dodson and Farlow's paper in the DinoFest International Symposium (of
1996) - published 1998. In the paper, they discussed the 'slight-sprawl',
and they conferred with Greg Paul on several of his objections, which they
seem to have eliminated or reduced - at least to their satisfaction (No word
on whether GSP agreed with their assessments).

Having posted here on this subject on numerous occasions, I think I can
safely say that this topic will not be laid to rest until Greg Paul publishes
his long-awaited paper. Until then, I'm painting them elbows out. The latest
_Journal of Paleontology_ hasn't hit the liberry shelves of Princeton yet, but
I'm told that Tom Lehman argues for a sprawling pose for Pentaceratops, as he
also did for Chasmosaurus almost 10 years ago in JVP. Dan Varner.
