Actually, there is good reason to suspect that the Columbia Basalts formed
during the initial eruptions of the Yellowstone Hotspot. Similarly, the
Deccans seem to be associated with the initial phase of the Seychelles
Hotspot.
It seems unlikely to me that the Yellowstone Hotspot will be rejuvenated to
that extent.
