I'm late, I'm late...
I just checked my mail after a long time when my e-mail was
broken (but somehow still receiving messages), so I've had to
catch up in a day or two. I have some questions which are a
bit late. Sorry, I hope you do not mind because I didn't have
the chance to read the posts when they came out. But I still
am curious about these things:
species name endings...
Someone said -ae was a singular female ending, so does that
mean Bradycneme draculae should have been B. draculai? Or
is there something I don't know about our Transylavanian friend?
Or is it too incomplete to matter?
heteros as basal marginos (sounds like pasta)
I'd been leaning in this direction for some time, but with no real
scientific evidence to back it up. I'm seeing "canine" teeth in
pachys AND I heard some psittacks have 'em too. Am I just
mistaken? What characteristics do they share? (George?)
suggested reading
Someone said not to read dino books but read bio and zoology
books instead. Well, I'm still gonna read my dino books out of
pure, unadulterated enjoyment, but what titles would you suggest
for the beginner in biology/zoology? Very interested...
Thanks a lot for your patience. I'm in my last year of high school
and I plan on being a geo major at whatever college feels sorry for
me enough to accept me next year. Who knows, maybe you'll be
reading my name on your abstracts for SVP 2005!
