Re: Re[2]: Duckbill necks

Hey, Matt. In case I am misunderstood, by the by, I love wild colorful
dinosaur art. I love Greg Paul's art, even if I raise an eyebrow over
something or question something now and then. I think Greg INTENDS to have
that effect on people sometimes. And I'd like to see what the hell
Augustia looked like! I think art is essential in communicating between
scientists-- and between scientists with the rest of the world.

My sense of how sometimes it might seem to the world that "dinosaur-folk
don't know what they're doing" is more personal than in the nature of an
evil conspiracy or something that would harm funding and so forth.

When you can see two intelligent and knowledgable men like Phil Currie and
Jack Horner, back-to-back drawing diametrically opposed conclusions of how
T-rex got his food (and from the same skeletal evidence) it does make you
wonder. But that's what makes paleontology both exciting and fascinating
as well as frustrating.

Now, go argue with Brian Franczak so he'll leave me alone!

Thanks, PVS
