To actually answer the original question (and avoid theoretical
physics):

There is a great book called "The science of Jurassic Park and the
Lost World" by Rob DeSalle and David Lindley (ISBN 0-465-07379-4)
that deals with the various steps necessary to clone a dinosaur in
exceptional detail. However most of the book seems to discuss
exactly why it is NOT possible given current levels of technology.

I picked my copy up for about $5 in one of those bargain bins - and
as it happens I lucked out! It's a great read. Just look for the
neon-blue Deinonychus mount (with realistic bass-relief amber specimen)
on the cover.
