Top down "vs" Bottom up - Either/or Both/and
Reading for quite some time about the apparent "conflict" between Top
Down and Ground Up bird evolution advocates, one is struck immediately
by a deliberate or inadvertant attempt to paint this discussion as a
dire battle between two opposing forces.
Is this, in fact the case? or is it possible that both evolutionary
tracks existed?
In addition, is there some advantage (other than selling magazines) to
perpetuating this investigation of (at best) spotty evidence as being
"polarized" rather than "complimentary?"
