As I understand, the feathers on the recent discoveries are not
as symetrical as typical flight feathers.  This leads me to 
consider their possible affect, not just on flight, but on
high-speed motion.  On the small scale, feathers (as I understand
it) generate little turbulence compared to other complex 
structures, this may not be true of these early feathers.  So,
has anyone addressed the possibility that the feathers could have 
hindered movement and consequently a hinderance to flight?
