                        * * *

Here are some highlights of U.S. national television programming
concerning dinosaurs, other prehistoric life and evolution, all times
eastern:

Thursday, July 2

A&E, 6:00am
Wildlife Mysteries: The Nature of Things
"Dinosaurs: Remains to be Seen"
Uncovering those huge, primarily flightless birds from the Mesozoic.

Saturday, July 4

Cinemax2, 4:00pm
The Beast From 20,000 Fanthoms
Giant aquatic quadrupedal carnivorous dinosaur thaws, heads for New
York. Come to think of it, that's what I'd do too under the same
circumstances. Great Harryhausen effects.

Sunday, July 5

Discovery Channel, 9:30am
Bonehead Detectives of the Paleoworld
Children's program about dinosaurs. This episode: "Dino Diner" --
torn from today's headlines: dinosaur dung.

Also primarily flightless,
