Yixian dinosaurs press conference
Peter Buchholz (Tetanurae) asked about the press conference on the
new dinosaurs. It will be held at 10:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday, June 23.
National Geographic will carry it "live" on the web at:

The site says that: "Two fossil species with distinctive feather imprints
and many dinosaur features are to be unveiled at a news briefing at the
National Geographic Society. Also on display will be an artist?s
reconstruction of one of the creatures."
Participants in the news conference will be Ji Qiang and Ji Shuan of
China, Philip Currie of Canada and Mark Norell of the United States.
The new discoveries will be on display at National Geographic Society?s
Explorers Hall museum in Washington, D.C. from June 24 through
July 26, 1998, and there will also be a Quicktime model online.
