The above passage should read:

The nasal cavity proper in dinosaurs does not seem big enough to house 
turbinates.  It has been argued that Ruben et al. have only measured the 
smallest part of the nasal passage.  This particular bit of wishful 
thinking ignores that the whole nasal passage proper in the dinosaurs 
studied in the Ruben paper was studied. 

 My original makes it sound like I'm critizing Ruben et al. when I'm 
really critizing the idea that the nasal passage was large enough to 
house turbinates.
